As I recall; there was supposed to be a big problem on 6/6/06 & 1/1/2000. I survived both, so I'm not too worried about 12/21/12.

Besides, until a few years ago, the Mayan calendar ended on 12/12/12 & we're past that now! ~~ Lowell

Here's something else to think about.....

Back in the 4th or 5th century there was this Irish monk who predicted every Pope there ever would be. We're on the last one on his list.

Dec 21,2012.... the day the Mayans got tired of scratching dates on a rock.

I made a joke the other day that the guy that was working on the calender was distracted by the arrival of the conquistadors..."hey, what the heck is going on over there?..."

As I recall; there was supposed to be a big problem on 6/6/06 & 1/1/2000. I survived both, so I'm not too worried about 12/21/12. Besides, until a few years ago, the Mayan calendar ended on 12/12/12 & we're past that now! ~~ Lowell

I recall those problems as well Lowell...I believe that we're going to experience the same thing this time around. Aside from all of the OTHER reasons, the Mayans didn't incorporate leap years into their calender like the Gregorians did to compensate for the 1/4 day "gain" per year. As such, their calculated "12/21/2012" would've been about 6 months ago?!?!?!?

Not to worry about the calendar rantings of a bunch of heathen human sacraficers! Edgar Cayce still has a bunch of predictions coming down the pipe and we've not seen even one quarter of them yet. If Ed says we're still good, then we're still good. Possibly underwater, but still good for a while.:D

I can't believe how giving all you guys are, why in this thread alone there are over 10 offers of permanent storage of everyone's beloved machines to keep them safe during the pending mayhem.

I also remember the Y2K and 06-06-06 scares. The only thing I was worried about was uncalled for group panic and the safety of my friends and family.
