Yep, Unlike your computer, Depending how it is set up you have to bring certain servers up in a sequence and bring them up and getting them restored can take some time. Like I said something affected the computer room. The place I last worked out our computer room had about 40 + servers, we had mirror's on the vital ones, with redundant backup's both software and hardware and out of the 10 years we had 2 major crashes. Both were when we lost power and the generator didn't kick in before the battery backups gave out. I would take us a good day or better to get everything back up to speed. Ours was a very small set up compared to Cox so I'm sure IT has their hands full. I hope they give you credit for the down time.

I use Web email accounts and I have to say over the year's I really haven't had a problem and if I switch ISP's then my email address dosn't change. I have one for close friends and family and one for all my web dealings.

I have a web mail account. But this was the one all the places I had accounts with was on. I don't trust the other one. They got my password once, that was enough!

Sherry uses our ISP mail and they got her password. If they want it they will find a way no matter what account you use.

As y'all know Cox finally got there stuff together and all is working, I found that I had to reset by pass word with the assistance of a call to Cox.

I'm still getting e-mail sent from before this. I had no problem with anything, the mail just started coming!
