Anyone seen the new GM trucks yet? 2014 models to come out, I mean. You tube hosted the showing and Motor Trend has pix all over their site. I work in factory and this is first even I've seen of the darn thing finished and pretty. We had all-employee meeting Friday to see them also. Not sure what the big deal was keeping them so secret? They're nice as any new ones are, but no real big change to keep secret. All new engines coming, with new v-6. The old 4.3 is now like the updated 8's but is still 4.3 size. 4.8 v-8 will be gone. The biggest engine went to 6.2 from 6.0 size. The extended cabs have regular opening doors now, but sure are small and hard for big guy to get into or sure. That's the part I didn't like. No more stuffing big stuff thru the side of cab NOW! I've done that to mine! Electric steering is a new one. Will like to see how that feels.

not bad but they want waaaaaay too much money for them GM products lately. Buddy of mine (owns a business where its needed mind you) just bought a 2012 last spring, with all the options and goodies he got on it he was around 50k. That's just insane to me........

I have been looking at getting a full sized pick up for about 3.5 years now. They will get better mileage than what I have now, they are roomy and can pull the boat and landscape trailer, they are just sooooooooooooo high priced. Even for used ones.

Thanks for posting the new GM models. I'm with Al, what about 2013?

Maybe some day they'll catch up with Ford :smilewink:
I thought when the 2003 Chevys came out that a pickup could not possibly get any uglier. I was proven wrong with the debut of the 2007's. All kidding aside, I like the 2014s looks.
Seems a real shame to discontinue the 4.8 V8. My brother has a '02 half ton with the 4.8 and nearly 300,000 miles of hard use. He has been coast to coast hauling everything from airplanes to farm tractors. I know airplanes don't weigh much but he had four on there at one time. [he had them stacked to just over 13 foot!] He has also pulled three of his little cars at once. He was debating rebuilding the lower end as it rattles a little until it builds oil pressure in the morning and asked at his local junkyard about a rebuildable 4.8 engine so he could have it ready and do the swap in one weekend. Junkyard man said he can't give a 4.8 away because the never give any trouble.

G trac, mine's the O3 and I think they look neat with those "slanted" eye headlights. Newer ones weren't as neat at first, but I like them now. GMC looks better in grill area. The 5.3 is best basic engine. Same engine, just bigger cubes. They'll still have that one too, just didn't list in my posting. I think the 14 Chevy looks better than the GMC will be. 13 models we've been building since July and been off/on all year with plant shut-downs to make line changes for the 14's. Will be building more pilots next week (12) and many more aftr the holidays. Think it will be an early 14 entry, the way it's going.

I actually started appreciating the looks of the slanted headlights of the '03-'06s once I saw the '07's. Pretty much a moot point because I won't be able to afford a '03 until they are old enough to run historic tags.
