Well, I got another hydro for the 314 and a good driveshaft. It'll be a few days before I get it all together. Putting up a tile backsplash in Momma's kitchen( gotta keep my priorities straight,LOL!!) I Can't complain, she's let me put it off for about 6 mos.
Anyway my question is: I can't find anything in the shop manual about Priming(?) a dry sunstrand 15. I've read stories of people changing oil in a hydro and having problems getting it to pump again. Any tricks I should know about?

On my D200 which has a Sundstrand 15 variant, before I hooked up the engine to the pump I raised the rear wheels off the ground and gently turned them for a few minutes. Without the engine hooked up, I figured this would not put much stress on the pump parts.
