Also note that when I asked for a kit to fit it, I simply said I had a Zenith 9711 just like my tag says. I made no mention of R20T. The gasket is VERY close and the rest of the parts and instructions seem to work and apply. Of course I have not copleted assembly yet.

I was just wondering how the carb kit worked out? I have the same carb on my 47 twin, with the extra screw to the right of the inlet. And I am in need of a kit myself. Also thanks for all the info you guys have to offer.

I think the kit is fine other than the gasket. I made one using his gasket and my bowl to add the extra hole. Beware that you use the white teflon seal in the right place. I didn't use it for the high speed jet and that is where it goes if I remember correctly. I can't run mine to test it because I sealed the float with Seal All and then I lost it or accidently threw it out. :-( If anyone has a spare, I might be interested.

Let me clarify that. I drew around his gasket and all the holes in it and then I used my bowl to draw in the extra bump out and screw hole. Then I cut it out and used that.

I have a flojet on it, but it refuses to start.  I have given up on it until I get the right float for the original carb or get the mag rebuilt.  The spark is so so and I think that may be my problem.  I remember it being VERY hard to get started when I was a kid.
