Has anyone tried to make a muffler. The muffler on my 314 has been rpaired to many times and I really didn't want to pay $80.00 for one.
I'm thinking of a round screw in muffler dropped inside of a piece of exhaust pipe the correct size an legth to fit threw side panel with an adapter welded on exhaus pipe to fit engine adapter .
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated .

Thanks

There was a thread a while back where someone welded up a really nice muffler. I can't remember where it was but a search might bring it up. It had lots of pictures of the baffles etc. A very professional job. You could also try our sponsors for a used one.

I found the one I was looking for. It's made from Stainless but the design would apply for other materials.
