Bush Hog Seal # Needed

i am trying to find out what a part number is for a axle seal (rear outside)on a HD-12 Bush Hog, and where do i ad and check hyd. fluid on the tractor real axle? i am assuming you add till it runs out of the fill neck on the center line of the axle.Bush hog 4.jpg

Yes, you fill till the neck is level full. Axle seal is #53056, but that's the original Bush Hog part #, so may not be a valid number. I can't find any seal info with that number. You'll likely have to take the old seal to a bearing/seal supply business & match one up.

thanks for the info. do you know what hyd fluid is recommended, i am not to familier with hyd fluid.

Just use Dexron III transmission fluid. Do NOT use hydraulic oil!
