Today overall was a fantastic day. I will say that I finally got this running and driving. She would stall out on hills, but would start right back up. Just needs some fine tuning.

What NGK spark plug does this engine require?

That one looks like it would work, what do you think?

I will also say it's a great day because I was able to get a ton of yard work done. Brians tractors were in the way of another tree that isn't looking so good. So I ended up clearing a spot in the woods to move them all too. I cleared a 20X20 section, give or take with the craftsman. I then took the D4-10 which has been sitting since Oct, battery and some fuel, fired right up and ran great.

I towed all of them back with the 10. That started the itch. I took my 7 with the snowthrower out for a small spin, ran great, then moved my truck and started playing with this one.

Overall great day. Its been very busy in the golf car business, so I've been working 6 days a week lately, this was the 1st weekend I was able to have two days off.

I love great days. Seat time felt great!

Pretty sure the Champion number is RJ8C

MY V3-6 is down in GA so I can't check to verify, but 99% sure this is the one.

Bought the new plug, hell bought 20 spark plugs just to have for stock and she fires right up in N. Stays running too! Last night what I found out while I had a buddy over was even with the throttle cable pulled all the way out, she'll only run for 10 or so feet before dying.

What I had found out was that the throttle on the carb is only opening a hair bit, so obviously once a load is applied, it's not opening enough, causing it to shut down.

I plan on working with the carb throttle linkage soon. Figured I'd update.

Thanks! It was hard to figure out because I'm always behind the darn wheel and unable to see the throttle linkage from back there. The kid's a cool kid, 17, got him a job working with me on golf cars and he owns a cub. He's the one who I helped get it running. He came over last night, saw how stressed and behind I was in yard work, hopped on the mower and mowed my lawn just to give me a hand.

Now he's interested in Bush Hogs. :) Too bad he'll never own one since he lives about 2 miles from me hahaha

Finally got around to tinkering. Fresh fuel, new SP, and tuned the carb. Rear up jacked up, under a load, she ran for a long time! Randomly it would stall out, but start right back up again. Going to run with it more this weekend when the weather is better.
