Dale and Cheryl,
I am truly shocked and saddened to hear that Dale is doing so poorly. I'm still praying for strength for both of you during these stressful times.

Well today was not a good day for Dale's Dr. Visit. The doc says the chemo is not working as planned and is thinking about changing his medicine. However, if the medicine are changed then the funding for the medicine he gets now is lost as well. The dilemma we find ourselves in sometimes is not good. Seems we take one step forward and two steps back. So now we are waiting on the doctor to decide what is going to be done with Dale. We know that the liver is failing, causing the fluid to build up in his stomach which we have to drain off each week (about 7 liters). This time when he is drained the doctors say they are going to put in a port so that we can drain him at home. This draining at home will provide a chance for infection to set up if we are not real careful with it. If he gets infection in the abdomen wall then we will surely loose him to infection because it cannot be treated and cleared up. Please continue to keep Dale and his family in your prayers as we continue the fight of his life.
P.S. Dale was ecstatic today to have received a Banner w/signatures from members and numerous Get Well cards. We are so thankful to be part of such a great community. May God Bless each and every one and their families as well. The outpouring of get will wishes were such a breath of fresh air for Dale, think he sees just how much you really do care for your community members and their families.
May God Bless All,
Cheryl (Dale's wife)

Glad to hear the banner put a smile on his face. We will continue to pray for Dale but also his doctor that he make the right decision.

Cheryl,
I think it's safe to say, that we all wanted to give Dale a little encouragement and "pick me up" and try to boost his spirits. You all are on our hearts and minds, and we continue to lift you all up in prayer. We just wish we could do more. Dale has been such an inspiration to us all, and we felt we needed to return the favor. May God's hands touch your lives, and give you comfort and peace during this tough time. We don't know what the future holds for Dale, but rest assured, God will use him in a mighty way!
Take Care, and keep us updated as you can. We love you guys!
