Interesting tractor. Has anyone seen this model before? it looks similar to an MB 1500.

And does anyone know what that odd looking piece is in the back, near the 3 point and it is long with a shaft running through it?

I sent an email to him. we'll see how it goes

Interesting tractor, looks like a European style tractor to me. Just a guess.

For that price it would be worth it to bring home and monkey with. Looks to be in nice condition.

He's been listing that for awhile.
I don't know anything about them.
But, I'd be careful about attachments/impliments.
You may not be able to do anything but ride around on it!
Those rear tires look impressive though!

Maybe it is just a scam? He has a ton of tractors in his pictures and others for sale. But he hasn't called or emailed.

Sorry Ryan, but it seems to be a rice bowl. Look at the colours and the design. It's hentai-stylish...

I found this out on the net:

Hinomoto was the trade name for tractors produced by Toyosha, of Japan. Toyosha can trace its roots to plows built by Denzou Tanoue in 1863. Hinomoto compact tractors appeared in the late 1950s and have been exported worldwide. In 1990, Toyosha was purchased by Hitachi Construction Machinery. Hitachi changed the trade name to Tierra in 1997.

I also found references to Hinomoto having made tractors for Massey Ferguson and Allis Chalmers/Deutz Allis and a handful of tractors for Simplicity. Masseys mentioned were the MF 1020 and MF 1030.

Similar to the JD 650, 750, ect. that were made by Yanmar before Yanmar was a well known name here in the States.

With the styling though, I'd guess that the one in the ad is fairly old.

It looks like a tractor that was imported from Japan. The tires are the clue. Commonly referred to as Rice pattie tires they are like super agresive ag tires. There are companies who import used refurbished tractors from Japan and it could be one of them. Things to watch out for are odd speed PTO (1000 instead of 540rpm) and opposite direction of rotation on the shaft. Most of the ones I've seen are larger than that one which looks like a large GT. It would be a strong tractor but you'd need to check the details.

The Chain Drive(?) with the shaft does puzzle me a bit. As high as it sits makes me wonder if it is part a trencher unit?
The Hinomoto is a Japanese Tractor and not a bad one at that. I have never seen one in those colors though.
I'm finding the price a little hard to swallow, if it runs as good as it looks $1500 would be low balling it's value.

But wait a minute? is that an air cooled engine mounted traversely in there(can't imagine how it could be hooked to the transmition)? It should have an inline liquid cooled diesel. Think this is a "Buff & Dump Job"?

I often wondered where you would get parts for one of these.

Looks to be a Hinomoto MB1100 from the hood and the fenders.

Wait, now I found a model MB10 that has the same narrow vertical piece from the hood nose down.

Okay, it's a MB 140:
