Not much going on today.

After having a cup of life I headed down to Shelby to get my friend, Buddy. He needed a tire on his truck (their only vehicle right now) and wanted me to look at some vans and SUV's on line.

So Steph and I went out and loaded up all the tires on rims that needed to go to the tire shop on Christine and I headed down.

I pulled in his driveway at about 10am and went in and had some of his weak coffee. Then we grabbed his bad tire and headed out.

At the tire shop we unloaded and told Tony the tire guy what I needed done and we headed to my house.

We spent a couple of hours looking at vehicles and making phone calls then Steph had to go to the store so I told her to go by the tire shop and pick up the rims and Buddy's tire.

She got home and after a little more online ad searching we left to take him home.

At his house he told me he had a broken washer and a couple of the rims with flat tires on them that I gave him a while back. IN the pile of bad tires there was a perfectly good tire already mounted on a rim. I called him stupid he laughed and I left the tire there for him to use for a spare.

After a quick trip inside to harass his wife and 2 girls I headed home to a bowl of spaghetti.

The neighbor who's landlord sold the house out from under him came by to ask if we knew anyone who wanted his boxer. I wish I did, but right now I don't.

For the last 25 years I have used a plastic spoon that i got from a Wendy's. I use 7 heaping spoonfuls. Heaping till it wont hold any more. Filter basket is a little over half full.

Last summer a tragedy happened. My spoon broke. I Now have a generic plastic spoon that has no history. It is sad.

Another scorcher

Got up late today and made my pot of mud then spent most of the day playing on the computer.

I emailed a guy when I got up about a Dynamrk tractor that had nice AG tires on it and didn't hear anything back from him for a while. When he finally did email me it turned out that he was about 10 minutes away. So I hopped in Christine and went down to get it. $100 later and it was mine.

Tractor is a pile. No cover on the engine. Hood is messed up. But it has nice tires.

When I got home I spent some time talking to the neighbors then took it off the trailer. It runs good, but I discovered that it has no brakes. That was fun. Nearly crashed it into the camper.

Now I am waiting for Jared to call me to go pick him up.

To be honest I didn't know what it was either till I got it home and parked it next to my other dynamark. I knew I had seen a hood like that before but I couldn't place it.

I've had a few tractors with no brakes, getting them off the trailer is a fun ride.

What do you consider a scorcher? I have worked through many days like this. Inside the shop and out side in the shade. Humidity make it feel like 120. Summer has arrived in Central TX.

Love your posts Willie!
