I learned a long time ago not to try and wean the vehicles from gas. Just doesn't work! That NOMA is an odd looking thing!

I'm not sure if Noma was made by mtd. They made some mowers that were all wheel steering.

ALC the 454 gets 11mpg. It took some planning to make the trip work. I need to get the 90 turbo diesel running so I don't have to take a load to take a trip.

That's about $1200 if you were buying gas in Canada.

Btw. That would be your job.  At least 45 hours of driving.

Time for some R&R to recover from your vacation.

It was a busmans holiday for sure. I drive all day long most days then I drive on vacation. That is why I have a comfortable s eat in the BlueOx. It took about a week for the stock seat to come out and much better buckets to go in.

No plans this morning = busy day anyhow.

Today I was going to wander leisurely outside and tinker with tractors and possibly mow the yard. However it wasn't to be.

I got a test early from a regular who had some misc junk he wanted me to come look at. SO we hooked the big trailer up to the BlueOx and headed out.

Got a Hoyer lift (that is going in the shop to become a tractor engine lift), an 11 foot u-haul truck type ramp, a huge set of halogen lights on a stand, a 4x9 foot ¼ inch thick piece of steel. And lots of misc stuff.

Before we left he got a call from him mom. Her car had broken down and rather than turn left into a friends driveway, she turned right into someones yard. Now that someone was going to have her car towed. He asked me what I would give her for the car, we agreed on the price, and we left.

First I had to run home to unload the stuff I got from him.

About an hour and a half later we arrived at the car. It was on a narrow road that was surprisingly busy. I knew I was going to make people mad before it was over.

First angry person was a school bus driver. She pulled up and I told Steph to move the truck as far over as she could. SO the stupid bus driver started honking. I stood in front of her bus until she apologized Once the truck was out of the way she glared at me the whole time she drove past and said lots of nasty words. Not a single kid was on the bus.

Then we got the car hooked up to the truck and began to pull it out. People were charging towards the cable. One yelled at Steph and she told them we would move in a minute. The woman yelled, “I know you didn't just tell me to wait!” so she got to wait longer.

We finally got the car out of the grass and on the trailer and people were still roaring up and getting mad.

With the car loaded and the angry hoards dispersed we made our way home.

We were supposed to have dinner with the neighbors, but the wife is sick. SO we went down to the fish camp and got us all fish anyway. I won't be going back there again. It wasn't that good except for the hush puppies.

SO now. It is beer time.

Another 128 miles logged today.

Most people have always stopped to gawk at us when we load stuff, I can't ever remember a time like that. You did good to make the bus puncher to apologize to Steph. There is no reason for someone to be like that.

Have you ever tried the Fish House in Walkertown? We gladly travel the two hours that way to eat there. The cheese cake is amazing too!

More driving today. I am going to have to start taking donations for tires.

Yesterday afternoon a guy called about the 46 Dodge that my buddy was selling. He didn't even want to come look at it. He just wanted it brought to him. So bright and early this morning we loaded it up on his trailer (mine was loaded) and hooked it up to the BlueOx (his Furd is broken – imagine that) and headed off to Mt. Airey, NC.

One stop for gas and we were on the highway laughing at all the people who were being pulled over for speeding. Also pretty sure we saw a police chase going in the opposite direction, but I haven't heard a word about it on the news.

97 miles later we pulled into a lot full of old cars.

First thing we saw was this restored 46 Dodge.

There was lots of other awesome cars there too.

After we got our money we saddled up and headed back south again. We pulled off in Elkin for a burger and then headed home.

We got back home and unhooked his trailer, then his wife wanted us to go out to dinner together.

Ran home for a quick shower and to pick up Steph and Heath, then ran back to get Tim and his wife and went to eat Italian.

Home, full, and worn out. I should sleep well tonight.

Willie, That place had some really cool old cars there. Did you happen to ask what the El Camino is worth?

NO I didn't ask what anything was worth. I didn't want to know how much money I was navigating the BlueOx thru.

That looked like some place Mike and Frank would find and go through.  Cool Pic's thanks Willie.

Did he say what he was going to do with your buddies 46?
