I think that jag model is pretty popular for a 350 swap

I don't think that thing would hold up to a swap. Engine would run off and leave it.

As long as you quack as you walk, you should fit in well out there!

Still not there yet.

4w_wed696x237_070815.jpg

Yesterday was Steph's birthday. It was also Heath's doctors appointment. And I was still feeling run down.

His appointment went great.

Steph wanted to eat at Genghis Grill. I didn't have it in me to drive that far. We went to Fatz. She ordered a Steak and Ribs combo. They brought her steak and chicken. So they brought her ribs. Free entree not bad.

After that we came home. I was barely functioning.

I slept in late then we got up and went out to look at he cabinet Steph got for the kitchen. I decided that we would change out the top rather than try to cut it down. So I started getting the laminate top peeled off to find the screws. That was pretty easy.  Then she unscrewed the two halves.

They were both 4 feet wide.  One was a foot deep, one was just shy of 3 feet. Once they were separated we came in to look at counter tops online. Finally I told her to go to either Lowe's or HomeDepot and get what she wanted.

She wanted to get a 6 foot counter top so it would have an overhang that could be used as a table.

The original plan was to just use the deep cabinet. I was sitting here trying to figure out what to do with the shallow one.  Then I got to thinking that we could use the shallow section in the table portion. I called her and told her to get an 8 foot counter top.

She got home and we carted it in. Then BettyBlue went around back to get the cabinet bases.

The kitchen in this house is sad. It is like everything was just thrown in a jumble. It had 4 cabinet drawers on one end of the counter. 2 were  broken. SO we pulled the drawers out, took out the drawer slides, covered the holes up with some lumber that had already been stained, and made the cabinet potion under the sink that much bigger.

The bases got carted in and installed, Then the top went on it.

Now Steph is in there happily rearranging and putting things up. I will never be able to find anything again. I took a picture and got out of there before she stuffed me in a cabinet.

And the Texas Hate Poppy is blooming.

Still recuperating from this crud. I am about 90%, but still tired. I got over back surgery faster than this.
