Sometime the fates prohibit from us reaching our goals.
Been there, done that.
Just last night, my brush hogging fun was cut short by small winged insects with pointy back ends that decided to take refuge in our log splitter housing. Bumped it with the tire and the air went yellow and black. Don't know how I didn't get stung, but I wasn't sticking around to tempt them.

Went back later. RIP bees

My Birthday.

birthday_suit_mug.jpg?width=225&height=2

LilBits (our tiny neighbor) woke us up calling because she was sick and work and couldn't get Graham (her husband) on the phone. Steph ran across the road and got him. He tore out. Well as much tearing as Hyundai can do.

Later on Steph cut the cat off the Volvo and we took it to the scrap yard. They paid more for it whole so I drove it. The 5 cyl with no exhaust sounded like a WWII fighter. I kept waiting for German to pull in behind me shooting.

At one place in the highway I was in a 4 wheel drift hydroplaning for about 1/4 mile. It was pretty wild because anything I did to try to correct it just made it worse. So I kept the gas pedal steady and drifted down the road.

Pulled on the scales at the scrap yard and the engine seized up. I was literal reaching for the keys when it locked down.

On the way home we say a Prius hydro plane in the exact same spot I did. He didn't have the option of drifting because there was stopped traffic in front of him. He did a great job of avoidance by driving in on the shoulder. Then flooring it to keep from getting stuck.

We got home and I hosed a can of carb cleaner on the vacuum lines of the Blazer to find the leak. I only found one. The 4wd is still not working. I think the wires to the transfer case are disconnected, but didn't feel like laying in the swamp that is my yard to look.

A friend showed up to look at an air compressor I have. He brought his 8 year old ( I think) son with him. Well Calvin wanted to shoot my .38. He has been asking me for about 4 weeks now.

So we grabbed the target rounds and went over to Graham's house to shoot.

Calvin thought it was great. He only fired 5 rounds, but he loved it. He asked me for the spent casings. LOL

Came in. took a long hot shower. Cleaned my pistol. Now I am doing nothing.

Not a bad day.

Me at 1 year old making a break for it.

The KFCtractor shed is full of wasps. If anyone besides me goes in there they get stung. I went in a couple days ago and one landed on  my hand and stayed there the whole time I was looking around. When I left he flew away. I have no idea why they wont sting me.

Happy birthday, Willie. The transfer case doesn't have any wires related to the 4X4. There is a vacuum switch above the shift lever at the case. The plug for it has an index pin. Make sure you have good vac on one and it's indexed right. They used to put the actuator on the fender but they found that was too easy so they relocated it to under the battery tray. If the actuator has signs of oil, replace the switch also.

Hot soooooooooo hot.

I finally got out of bed. I have no idea what time.

fire-on-the-coffee-cup-4368x2912_26552.j

After I got loosened up enough to move we went outside. What happened next is best told in a for sale post

http://gardentractor...-john-deere-242

Actually before she mowed we had to move the railroad track. So Max was awakened.

maxsquat.jpg

The track was moved.

Then Steph mowed.

I came in and sat down. I soaked two towels with sweat and swallowed two quarts of Gatorade.

I am worn out. Hopefully the JD will sell.
