From what I've seen, quiet children are heavy thinkers.  They spend their time putting the pieces of the puzzles of their lives together in their heads.  Then when THEY are good & ready, all they've figured out comes spilling out.  Yep, it can be a lot of info sometimes too!   :rolling:

Ryan was quiet until he was ready... Hasn't shut up since

This is what I have been telling her. He will sit and study something until he figures it out. He just doesn't want to talk. I think the therapist is a stupid waste of time and I told the therapist that. I don't have to deal with it so I don't care really. At least the house will get a good cleaning once a week before she comes.

My middle daughter took her time talking and how you can't shut her up.  When she was a teen she had to have the tonsils out.  The Doctor told us that she probably would not be talking for a few days.  As she was coming out of recovery she was talking a mile a minute.  I told that Doctor I was going to sue him for lying to us. :wallbanging:

What codes are you dealing with, Willie? It could still have an intake gasket sucked out and the bolts be tight too.

codes were 32 (egr

36 - Idle air control

42 - ignition bypass

85 - trans output.

Super windy today. Kept blowing my hat off.

I didn't sleep a wink last night. Partially due to the truck not running and me laying there and working on it in my head all night, partially to Steph Vader, and partially die to shoulder pain. I finally dozed off at about 8. Heath attacked me at 10. Oh well.

We got outside and blew over to the truck. I pulled the IAC off  and found one of the bolts was about to fall off and tho other broke as soon as I touched it. Had to drill and tap it., OF course the tap I needed I didn't have. SO Heath and I made a trip to the parts house.

I would up buying a whole set because no one had a 4x.7 tap. It was only $25. Heath behaved so well I let him pick out some candy. He got M&Ms. I told him he had to share with momma.

As soon as we got home he ran to her and gave her 3 M&Ms then ran off.

I tapped the hole then had to cut down a bolt out of another TBI off a small block. It ain't pretty but it works.

I went back over to the truck and got to looking at the IAC. It doesn't appear to be seating straight. I have no idea if that could be the problem or not. I am going to get it back together before I buy a new one.

Something else I noticed was the buildup of gunk on the bottom of the TBI.

Since the wind was getting so strong my tools were blowing off it was senseless to stay out and try to work on it. I grabbed my monster file and brought the TBI in.

After some careful filing I put some fine sandpaper on a flat surface and finished it up. This is actually part of a mod that people do to improve throttle response. Maybe it will help. Don't see how it can hurt.

Here is what I have so far. Almost there.

I grabbed two cans of carb cleaner and tomorrow when it isn't trying to blow the truck to OZ I will spray all over and see if I can find a vacuum leak somewhere. I would have to stand in the neighbors yard to hit the intake right now. This wind is incredible.

Before Steph left for class she told me that the neighbor had a tree blow down.

That doesn't look to be seating anywhere close to proper. Hope you figure it out!

That loose bolt probably had something to do with it. Unfortunately, It might not seat straight now that it is worn. Put it back on and time will tell.

As far as all those codes you listed above..  An unhooked vacuum line could cause them..  (common link)
