Hook 'em up, drag 'em out, pull 'em back, drop 'em off, hook 'em up, drag 'em out, Rawhide.

This morning Heath woke me up with a scream and started my day.

Steph had already left for class. After a clean diaper and a bowl of Cheerio's we headed out.

First the Toyota went off to scrap. With a check in my hand we headed back home and dropped the tow dolly and hooked up to the big trailer and headed back.

On the way down a car pulled up next to me and the woman in the passengers seat was making a weird motion to the back of the trailer. I pulled over and found that the tail of one of the straps had worked loose and was rubbing on the tire and smoking pretty good. I guess she thought I was on fire.

While I was unstrapping some tool in a little Furd Ranger pulled up about 3 inches away from the passengers side of the trailer. I was tempted to shove my load off on top of it.

On the way back I looked at the check I got and it was made out to someone else. So I stopped at the scale house and he said he would fix it. Then we headed up to the scrap mound to unload.

Once he left I was able to get unloaded and get both checks then head for the bank. Heath got a sucker and I got a pocket full of cash. Then I headed home and Heath and I rested a bit.

When Steph got home I was busy listing more stuff for sale online. She put all the catalytic converters in Christine along with all the straps. Then I went out and we got it hooked up to Grady's trailer. At about 2pm I pulled out of the drive and headed to Charlotte so sell the cats.

The driveway up there was a maze of vehicles that I narrowly squeezed through to get to where I needed to be. Greg was in an unusually good mood and we BSed for a while then I got my cash ( he had to borrow money from one of his employees because he hadn't gone to the bank yet LOL).

Once I was untangled from his lot I hit the interstate and headed south. One stop in SC for cheap gas and I was off.

As I went along I saw a Mustang sitting backwards in the center median with a cop beside it. When I passed there was a 20 foot extension ladder in front of the mustang. She didn't appear to have hit it, but I imagine it fell off a truck and she ran off the road avoiding it.

About 60 miles in Christine decided to show herself and she overheated. I had to limp about another 25 miles with the heat on full blast to get to the next exit.

Slightly sweaty I went into Wal-Mart to buy her a drink and then once her thirst was sated we headed off again.

As I got to the road the FF was on there was a Ford Taurus on the side of the road smoking like a freight train out the exhaust. I figured it wasn't going much farther.

I pulled in the driveway and saw the monster sitting there waiting for me. In a few minutes the deal was done and it was sitting on the trailer.

I told them the story about how you good people helped me buy it, and they thought it was pretty neat.

I got a picture of him with his tractor before I left.

After telling them my plans for it (they approved) I strapped her down and headed home.

2014-03-31_18-52-41_476.jpg

The Taurus was still sitting there.

I stopped at Wendy's for a burger and then hit the interstate.

A long drive home and Steph and Heath came out and helped me get her unloaded. Steph was pretty impressed with it.

Glad you shared the story of your FF financing.  I bet they did think it was cool, and likely made them know you were THE ONE to be it's new owner.

It was a good day.

Steph's alarm went off at 7. She hit snooze – and got out of bed. Since her alarm is on her phone I couldn't find it.

So that was it for my sleeping.

coffeetoddler.jpg coffeetoddler.jpg

About an hour later Heath and I went outside and took a ride around the yard on the FF.

Then we came back inside to goof off. About an hour later my neighbor, Janis, whose car is broken down in my yard, came to get her tag off of it. She got a new car.

After she left Heath and I took another ride.

Then we came back inside for some scrambled eggs for lunch. He devoured everything but the plate.

At 130 he went down for a nap and my friend Reid pulled in the driveway. He used to have a JD400 and was quite impressed with the FF. He crawled all over it for 30 minutes and declared it had his seal of approval.

We talked for a bit and then he took two long steel pipes home with him.

I made a video of the FF and then I came in and edited it. The video is processing because my computer is slower than an arthritic turtle in a puddle of cold molasses. Never fear it will be up sometime.

Then I managed to squeeze the FF into the KFCTS. It will fit with the tool bar on it as long as there is nothing on the bottom shelf behind it and I finesse the lift up and down to keep from tearing the deck off.

Heath got up around 4 and we put some water in the tub for the ducklings and then fed them bread. Heath thinks that is the neatest thing on earth to do.

I was hankering for some pizza and I went on Papa John's website and found that I had 87 reward points. I only needed 25 to get a free pizza. I got two. I still have enough for another.

After Heath and I ate pizza I heard my neighbor, Wanda, come in the front door. She had some meatball soup for me. I will eat it before bedtime.

Heath and I played around the house and watched some TV. At 9 I put him to bed. At 915 Steph came home.

I am almost ready for bed myself.

Meatball soup???

please explain  :D

She makes a delicious soup with cabbage and meatballs. When she makes it there is a steady stream of cars in and out of her drive of people coming to get a bowl. Since I take care of her she brings me one.

This morning I got to sleep in a bit.

Heath had a doctors appointment so Steph took him.

At 930...

coffeewave.jpg

Then I answered 400000000000000000 emails that if the person had just read the ad they would have known the answer. I guess some people are just too dumb.

I had the neighbors car to take apart, but I wasn't about to try to get it up on the tow dolly by myself. So I relaxed and watched some TV.

Steph got home around 1130. Heath and I watched some car videos while she did – something I have no idea what.

Then she helped me with the car. She steered while the Hemorrhoid pushed. IN short order the little Escort was up on the dolly.

I started taking it apart while she went inside and did – something - I have no idea what.

After Heath went down for a nap she came out and helped me finish up.

Once that was done the Buzzard came out of the shed and I mowed the front and side yards with it. It also got to drag the 88 Chevy Fullsize out of the way so I could mow where it was sitting.

After it ran for about a hour it started to puff a tiny bit of smoke. When it was pulling the truck it had to dig for traction. And when you drive it the hydro will not stay in the full fast position unless you hold it there. Small things for a 31 year old tractor.

Once the yard was cut Steph had a shopping list for me to take to the store. I did.

Then I came home and took a shower.

At 5pm people started showing up for the sheering. We had a lot of fun. I have no idea what all Steph did to my hair when she cut it all off but everyone was laughing. There was at least one video made of it so if I can get it on my computer I will share. For now you have to make do with the pictures.
