Monday, monday, can't help that day....

About 10 minutes before my alarm went off Steph woke me up and told me she had to take the neighbor (Grahams fiance) to the emergency room. She has been sick for a few days and she called her doc this morning and was told to go to the ER.

After I was a little bit more coherent I remembered that Graham was off work today. So while

I called him and asked why he wasn’t taking her to the ER. He started to tell me that he didn't know where the one close to the house was and she didn't want to go to Gastonia. This is after Steph told em that Jenni had told him Graham said he didn't want to sit at the hospital all day. After giving him a good chewing out and then talking to Jenni to calm her down it was decided that Steph would take her anyhow because Graham was being an ass.

So Steph got the diaper bag packed and got the car seat swapped over into Christine and then she left to take Jenni in Grahams car.

Heath and I watched car and tractor videos for a while then we loaded up in Christine to go to the transmission shop.

When I got there I saw the owner talking to two women. After I parked and Heath and I got out the wrecker driver told me to not go over there. One of the women (the mother) had bought a car from Greg (the owner) for the other woman (her daughter). Greg's guys had put a new fuel pump in it and after the daughter had the car for 3 days she decided to fill it up with gas. It leaked. What could have been a simple repair ( a loose clamp) became a total FUBAR with the daughter screaming and cussing. Greg offered her the money back. She yelled and demanded her car back. Greg handed her the keys and title. She yelled. Greg gave the mother the money and told her in 5 minutes the police were on the way. They left.

So with Greg in a foul mood I dropped off the transmissions and then headed home.

We stopped at Hardee's for burgers.

burgertime.jpg

Came home and put Heath in the bed for a nap.

Steph came home about an hour ago and she went to take a nap.

Friday Graham is working for me. He and I will have a nice long talk with no women present.

That Frisco burger is off the chain Willie. I reckon you know that already though. We know good burgers wherever they are.

I got the $5 bag deal. 2 double cheesburgers, fries, and an apple pie not a bad deal. But the Frisco burger is great.

The HMS Rainmaker rolled out and the clouds rolled in.

This morning my alarm had the blues. I laid in bed for a minute and listened to it then I rolled out and into my pants.

d-Coffee_addict.jpg

Then my thermos and I jumped in Christine and headed off to Maiden. About 5 minutes into my drive the phone rang. There was an OldBuzzard on the line. He said he was going to drop in on me so I gave him my address and told him he could talk to Steph if he got there before I got back.

I got to the road I was supposed to turn down and it had cross ties across it spray painted with do not enter on them. So I tried to call the guy. No answer. I noticed that the church parking lot next to the road seemed to go back to the road again around a bend.

I was right and soon I was on one of the worst roads I have ever driven down. It is right next to the lake and it is slowly washing off into it. When I got to the house he told me that they were supposed to work on it this week.

Soon I was loaded up and headed home.

I beat OB back and started sorting through the load on the truck and trailer. About 30 minutes later a house pulled in my driveway. I swear he has a stealth setting on that thing because I never heard it coming.

After about a hour or so He and his wife had to get back on the road. So they did. It was a nice visit. He is a great guy.

Steph and I got busy with the sorting and soon had everything where it needed to be.

Heath and I came inside while Steph pulled around back in Christine to put some electric motors where they belong.

Heath went down for a nap. I sat down for some more coffee.

Steph had to go to the store and I got a call to pick up another load of scrap tomorrow morning so she took Christine and the trailer to the scrap yard to unload it.

I showed OB a weird old push mower that I have had forever and had no idea what it was.harmowerh.jpg

He suggested that I run the patent number that was on it.

patent.JPG

So I did. I joked with him that with my luck the patent would only be for the cover that it was on. I was right.

Here.

But it did give me a clue and soon I was on the hunt. It is an early 60s Hahn self propelled mower. What I thought was an aluminum body is apparently magnesium.

And yes, what was a nice clear blue sky, is now cloudy and dark. Has the curse of the Rainmaker struck again.

I guess the fire extinguishers weren't big enough for rain, only clouds.
