I'm not sure. There is a snap ring there. The parts manual is a bit vague. Shows a set screw at the area, but I think it holds the u-joint to the hydro shaft. Guess I'll just have to get the fan and see what the hub on it looks like.

The ones in the MFs are held on with a single set screw, and that's why they self destruct.
Dirt/oil get on the blades, and then while it's sitting, that tends to slide to the bottom, putting it
out of balance, and eventually it wobbles so much it breaks. Maybe a fix for that.

I'm putting together a parts list of the most needed items: fan, axle seals, & outer axle bearings (it may not need these, but while I'm in there may as well do them). Not sure when I'll get over to New Holland to get them ordered. I'm still snowed at work, we are repainting the inside of a 3 bedroom house so the owner can sell it. Got 95% of the outside done, waiting onm the folks to come in with some new piers for the front of the garage before I paint in that area.

I pulled the trigger this morning on the original fan part #'s. Also got new axle bearings and seals ordered. Now to see if they change part #'s and prices! :bigrofl:

Well, that didn't work. All parts are 'No Stock'. So I tried the LB702301 fan #. Waiting to hear if that ships. Found the seals at a different place. They have the bearings too, just a few more $.

I'm hoping, Maynard. Sure would like to be working on this. Waiting for the shipping confirmation.

The seals will be here tomorrow. Haven't heard a thing on the fan as yet. Since I changed the oil out, I haven't seen the seals leaking. I hope weather will cooperate this week end so I can work on putting the seals in.
