Deer are as common as rabbits in these parts so would not be news worthy. Monday I had to brake hard to miss 4 crossing the road just as I had hit 60mph accelerating from my lane on the highway. Last Night I saw a flash(something passing in front of them) in headlights of oncoming car and slowed down to miss a deer. And this morning had to go to the shoulder to miss one in the roadway along with the debris of a car that had hit it. Iowa is rated the number 1 state in the nation in likeliness of having a car/Deer accident(we overtook West Virginia this year)?thanx heaven, no deer!
It's Rut Season here and they are on the move everywhere.
