Looks like a heavy mower. It's been listed on and off for the last 6 months. I bet you could get it for a steal if you showed up with cash and was ready to get it out of thier way.

I wonder just exactly what he means by "one side of engine has been replaced" ?

If the lady sticks to her word, it'll be here at my place within 2 days. Had some money to pay down on some bills, but that's too good to pass up. Just the power steering parts alone are worth the asking!

We'll have to wait & see. It's not mine unless it's loaded & rolling home.

That's bordering on ridiculously cheap. Within a hair of ludicrous.

I've spoken with her again, and I should be picking it up tomorrow afternoon. I wanted to today, but she is off work tomorrow, so she asked that I wait till tomorrow.

Daniel, might as well bring along another $100 and get the 2 Craftsmans and the JD 314 in the weeds. I'd leave the golf cart, those things are useless for mucking stalls.

Looks like you've got screaming deal on your hands. Congrats Dan, I hope it goes thru.
I thought about you when I looked at the map to see where it was... I told Julie "look, it's only 4 hours away... unless I65 is closed" :bigrofl:

Now if that was my usual CL luck, after being told to come tomorrow, she would sell it tonight............. for $100 less! :wallbanging:

Here's hoping your luck is better than mine. :smilewink:

Well, I got my 90 cow stalls sawdust bedded after milking, then headed out to get the Sunstar. On the phone yesterday, she said she'd take $200 for it, so I wanted to get there asap!
She is now at my place...........................and running!!!!!!!!!!!! I started her up & she was dead one one side. Pulled the air filter, and just as I expected, an air filter housing screw was missing. 15 minutes later, the screw removed (no valve or seat damage), head back on, and she fired up. Not driven it yet, but everything else works, even every light on the dash, headlights, charge system, hydraulics, and power steering is like butter!
Will test drive in a few minutes, but need to tend to farm chores too.
Not made up my mind what to do....sell it as is, sell in parts (keeping lots for inventory), or keep intact as part of the herd. Problem is storage space at the moment.
No hurry in making up my mind. I wanna use it a bit to see how it runs out. The carb still needs cleaning I'd say, as it stumbles at times. Likely needs new spark plugs as well.
