I have been using TSC's Traveller 15W-40 in my 1995 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke and have good analysis results to show that it is doing well in the truck. It has all of the specs that are recommended for these and other diesel engines.

I noticed tonight that TSC has the 5-gallon pail of 15W-40 on sale for $49.99 (ten bucks per gallon). Thought I'd pass on the sale info.I plan on getting a couple of pails tomorrow to have on hand. I'm all for saving a few bucks, as long as it proves to be a good oil. I'll be doing another oil change later this week and will be sending another sample off for analysis.

Looks like a great price on oil. No better way than to tell if your oil is doing its job then to do oil samples area.

Warren Performance Products (Jug has 'WPP" on the bottom). They make a lot of lubricants, from what I've seen. It's been awhile since I looked, but I think I remember that they also made the Walmart Super Tech full-synthetic oil I use in my wife's Mustang, 165K miles, and what I had been using in the Windstar van I had that had 200K miles on it when I sold it. Never had the synthetic oil analyzed, but my experience with it has been good, obviously,

Do you know if it has better ZDDP content than any others out there? I know it's the feds causing this issue, but I thought maybe an oil producer has found a way around it?

I haven't seen any information on that, but I'll see if I can get an answer.
