And here is another one. This is said to belong to our own Don Campbell.

Posted Image

Unless Don bought it, I know who built and owns it. His name is Pete Roman out of Ohio. He had it at our show in Portersville PA a couple of time in recent years. That's where this picture was taken. Fully functional too. He's built other construction equipment based on PKs as well.

As I understand it (and I very well could be wrong) this is indeed a factory unit. EP experimented with this and only built a couple as far as I know. I can't verify that because 1. the company was lousy at keeping records and 2. many of their records were destroyed in later years.

I attached some info on the tracks for you. It was done by a seperate company, if I remember correctly they where based in upstate NY.

Jeff is right about the other. Although, I have not been as lucky as him to see it in person. I also attached pictures of some of the other creations by Pete.

There you go! Thanks Ryan. Every one of them works just like the big ones. There is a you tube video somewhere out there of Pete working the pan and another show. All of the pics Ryan posted were taken at the Portersville PA show over the course of several years.

After looking at the link, I can see how you might have misread that. I actually did at first and had to go back and re-read it. Incidentally, all of Pete's creations are for sale if you have DEEP pockets. Pete was an Economy dealer for years and even helped develop some of their stuff like the back hoe. Pete got a prototype and was told to use it and get back to them with any improvements. The man is a genious and great to sit and talk to for a while.
