I am thinking that I would like to make a reproduction front weight for a SS or ST tractor.
If someone has the time (not urgent, no big hurry) to take some detailed pics and some measurements, it would make the job much easier.

Thanks in advance.

Alan, good luck on replication. I own tape measures and cameras, but no front weight. Someone please help this poor man before his anticipation gets to him lol.

Alan, I am in a similar situation to Casey. You see, I have a weight, but no camera! Just kidding, I think Maynard is the only member without a camera! :camera:

If some one does have both items, I would be happy to draw something up and put it where we can find it for future reference.
Alan I have to agree with that last post. Having something in common with Casey is cause for concern.

If you dont mind sacrificing OEM status, you can use existing weights, preferably dumbell style, a mower deck mule drive, and some threaded rod and make your own. I can post a link to an MTF'er who did it if it doesnt bother anyone.

I've seen some very nice non original weights doing google searches and whatnot, some of their ideas are

I have some stuff laying around to make a unit close to original. Won't be perfect, but it'll fit right in around here.

Would a copy of the manual for the Roper version #TA0331RO help? No dimensions, but it shows the construction details.

It's a 104Kb .pdf file.

Sure!
Is that the one that shows assembly? I found it about a year ago and thought I had saved a copy, but it seems to have evaporated.
