I have been noticing that on the left side of my posts right above my location it says "0 warning points".
I haven't seen that on any other members posts. What's up with that?

It means that the staff has their eye on you! I am only kidding, you did nothing wrong. I can't see yours, and you can't see mine. It is bassically a way to keep track of who is naughty or nice!

I've seen this "warning points" system before... in my childhood. It was directly related to how soon bedtime would occur... sometimes for a week..

That number is just between the Mods and the Member. It's a way for the staff to see who's been in trouble in the past and can respond accordingly if a situation arises.

At present, The only person who's had a point applied (not counting spammers) lives in West Virginia and it was all in fun. (he volunteered to be the guinea pig on the points system)

As for the member, you know who you are, and we have our eye on you... troublemaker. :rolling:

Gee Alan, you really know how to make a guy feel welcome.

A quick tip to all the members, pick your battles wisely, and make certain you know who and what position of power your opponent has :bigrofl:

For those who weren't here for all the fun, Casey had a running thread about the chat room. It had gotten to be about ten pages long and I pruned it one night to make it easier to navigate (this was on the old software)

Anyways, I never gave it a thought that I was dropping his post count by 50 or so. He's picked on me about it ever since.

FFwd to setting up the new software, someone asked about the warning points thing, Casey kind of volunteered, and we all had a ball "warning" him, etc. It was all in fun and no animals were hurt during the making of this movie...

At this point, IDT anyone else except spammers have ever gotten "warned".
