I got mad with the crappy paint so I parked this last fall during the refurb. I never changed the oil in this tractor last year since I planned on refurbing it. All my other tractors have failed me this year so I pulled it out of storage. This past week I've used her to now, seed, and pull the cart around. I decided since she has been so good to me I would change all the fluids and at least put the hood on.

Thanks. The only thing not Sears is the rear tires and a few random bolts. This is how far I'm going with it for the summer. I may do a complete restore this next winter.

Question for you. I just got a Custom 10XL, I know it is basically an early version of the ST, How do you like the High/Low trans? It seems like it is pretty rugged?

Having three lug hubs make me wonder on its strength. I've never really abused it and all I can say is it hasn't failed under regular use.

I'm happy to hear you have one that is willing to work! Maybe the others will get jealous and straighten up!

Chris, the H/L tranny is near on as bullet proof as they can be. I would be stunned if you ever have o do anything with it beyond oil changes.
