I'd like to thank my friend Morris for the amazing birthday present he gave me today! And I have to say, its in better shape cosmetically and mechanically than ANY of the other tractors I've got! Still haven't thought of a name for him... Maybe I should call him Morris! :)

And he stores away SO well, LTGal won't even NOTICE him!

awsome. looks like it might have a sparkplug that is a little to big in it though.

Happy Birthday. Nice present. There is quite a bit of detail to those. I've never really looked at one up close.

Yes, the level of detail is amazing! Wheels turn, steering works, when you push down the clutch/brake, the parking brake knob comes up, the shifter moves, the variator moves... Spark plug IS a bit big, and is not QUITE in the right spot, but maybe that was an after-market mod! :)

Now that's a keeper! Those are very very rare nowadays. They can go for a few hundred! I have a good many Precison series myself but not that one. Good thing the Mrs. won't see it easily otherwise you might be sleeping with the dogs.

At least your's came with a muffler. Mine was packaged without a muffler, and John Deere wouldn't give me an exchange for another one. We opened a couple of the other that were on display, and found out there were at least three more that didn't have mufflers either. Still, no exchange!

Very cool! I keep looking at those, but I'm waiting to find one at a reasonable price.

Congratulations! You got me all excited when I read the part about the 80 Cart, still thinking it was full size.

A number of years ago, when I still had my 140 H1, my Son-in-law was working at a firm that audited John Deere dealerships, and he found and bought for me "The Model 140 Lawn & Garden Tractor" from Ertl. It was the best Christmas present I got that year.

It is very detailed, has ag tires on the rear, and wheel weights on all four wheels. The levers all work, it steers, the hood opens, has engine detail and a lot of underside detail. It came with a cultivator, harrow disk, plow, planter, and integral (sleeve) hitch. It even came with a booklet with promotional info about the 140. Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, but I still wish it had had the mower deck.

Hopefully I'll get ambitious, and take and post some pictures.

Wow, that is a great model. The detail is great. I guess I never paid attention enough to know they made them that detailed. Happy Birthday. Congratulations on such a nice gift.

That's a very nice gift. Morris sounds like a good name for it.
