A family friend told me about a lady who has a wheel horse for sell because she needed $$. She says her Dad has owed since new sometime in the 60s and her ex husband had started to restore it. I bought what you see. I got pieces and parts and parts and pieces. I normally just buy Cubs but decided to take a chance on this. What is it?? Whats it worth? Anybody interested in buying any of it? Thanks for the help!

WOW! great score!! I haven't had a WH yet but it looks like a 704 to me. If I lived a little closer I would buy the load lol.

I love the duel AG's and the front AG's look awesome on that!

Ok I found a piece a paper in a box with the tractor with the following numbers written on it. HM-80-156063F SER 1042-D These are hand written and hard to read. Does this help?

That looks like a model and serial number to a horizontal shaft 8hp Tecumseh motor?

It is definately a 1964 model! Only 3 models used this body style, 604 ,654, 704. The 604 used an H60 Techy recoil start. The 654 used an H60 Techy electric start. The 704 used a K161 Kohler recoil start. Yours does not have a battery tray so it has to be a 604 or 704. The model number would be located on a sticker just above the lift arm on the left side of the dash tower. I am interested in a package deal! PM me!

Those decks don't look WH to me. I'm no expert on early ones, but seems to big for this rig? The old rusty thing with openings and a belt underneath? Or is tht NOT a deck? Don't understand why people that don't really want these brands buy them???? Is it just the chase and hual part that is important? :( :poke:

Grumpy, actually all 3 decks are WH and one even has the serial number on it with Wheel Horse on the sticker. Those decks are really small maybe its the angle of the picture.
To answer your question why some one who doesn't want it would buy it? Simple, Messing with old lawn and garden tractors is a hobby for me. I did not "chase" this one and I do not "chase" for any thrill I'm way to busy. However people call me and say Ive got (insert whatever here) for sale are you interested and sometimes I buy. This was the case with this tractor. If I can pass this deal to a WH guy and make him happy and me some $$$ to spend on my Cubs that's what I'm going to do. Besides that its kinda cool looking!

That's a really sweet looking load of WH stuff. The tractor looks like it's been restored and new rubber all around! The tires alone are worth some serious $.

Thanks for saving it. That'll make someone a nice package.

Is the plow a WH? Adjuster looks different from what I've seen before.
