They're going to have fun getting to and from the track. I know the area well and even though they've made some road improvements there will be problems. Hotel rooms in Austin are all gone and prices for those rooms are like giraffe ears, high. It's going to be a big money making deal for the area for sure. I'm waiting for next year, let them get some bugs worked out first but will watch it on TV for sure.
Ronnie, I'm with you. I will enjoy it on the TV this time and try to find cheap tickets next year.

Not anymore !! Watch it ans see its way better than NASCAR , especially with all the new rules.Formula 1.... Sometimes they even pass each other on the track! I've heard it said on TV that they should soak down the track before every race considering how rain makes them actually have to drive the cars.

Well, I do like David Hobbs and Bob Varsha as commentators... and I do have a DVR to escape the commercials, maybe I will have a look. Do they have any hot chicks like Danika or bad boys like Jeff Gordon?

> The cars scuttle around the track like a hungry rat in a food reward maze. They never seem to get where they are going...
> The cars sound like a pack of little girls with worms put down their backs. In my sphere of racing experience F1 is simply noise pollution.
> I can't believe Texans would allow such goings on. European snob-society "auto" racing in TEXAS? No wonder the election turned out like it did!
> The drivers all talk funny.

For racing...not so much. Everything is so computerized that the driver is there mostly to guide it around the track.
Shucks, add the Google "drives itself car" technology and you wouldnt even need the drivers.
Plus, it seems like the vast majority of the races are 'won' in qualifying.
Once the actual race starts, it's usually just a parade with very little passing.
