Came home from a weekend away to find the house broken into and the wife's jewelry box cleaned out, and some of my tools gone with more of the tools pulled out but not taken. They knew what they were doing, took gold and easily sold tools. The tools I can replace but the family jewelry is irreplaceable, her mothers diamond, a diamond ring given to us by my great aunt before we were married, her mother's WWII Navy Wave ring we had found just a few months ago and that sort of stuff..... I'm sure we will never see the stuff again.:shoot3: wish they'd come back......:shoot3:

Peter that sucks, I am sorry there are loosers out there that feel they need to steal from others. At least do yourself a favor and call around to any pawn shops and jewelery stores that buy jewelery. Also those cash for gold places. If you can give them good descriptions they will keep an eye out. I do hope you have some luck in at least getting a couple of the pieces back. Your are right though those items are irreplaceable.

Sorry to hear that you got hit. Hope that they can find the losers that stole your stuff and at least get some of it back. As has been said call the loacal pawn and jewlery shops and give them a heads up as to what was taken.

Man peter, very sorry to hear that. There is that chance some may be recovered, slim maybe, but not impossible, and it does happen. Almost as bad as the loss is the feeling of violation & vulnerability. Probably someone that lives fairly close took the stuff. Hope good luck shines on you & some items are recovered.

I don't think that anything I say can make you feel better about this except that I understand how you must feel. We had a vehicle stolen several years back, and although it was recovered, it was never the same. When something is stolen from you, the thieves take more than the items they steal. I hope that they come to justice and you get some closure on this at least.

My thoughts are with you Peter. Echoing the others, hopefully they catch the POS responsible. Contacting the pawn shops is wise, also keep an eye on your local classifieds and Craigslist too.
