The GT club I am in here is planning a plow day the 24th of Feb. Not sure if the weather will cooperate for that!

Besides weight & horse power, soil type plays a BIG part in how much ground you can turn in one pass.  So you may pull a 2 bottom at one place, then next week barely pull a single somewhere else with different soil type.  If the multi plows are set up to where you can easily remove one or more moldboards to adapt to soil types, it would be a plus.

I haven't been around a multi-bottom plow in years. What would be nice is to find an 8" sleeve hitch plow and use the sleeve hitch to mount it. Pull a pin, and you're down to a single. Most ground around here (or up where the plow day is) will be tough plowing, I'm sure. I do have the 10" sleeve hitch plow that came with the Ford. That's what I'll use for the plow day IF it happens. The ground could be frozen then!

I was on sears.com the other day and looking at an exploded view of a 12". I think they had the share listed at $48.

Part number 13

$72 today (01-18-13), and for how long? This is a substitute part.

JD Part number for a 12" Brinly plow share is  M147646 and only 37.53 and it is the exact same part.

Keepingitgreen.com has it listed at 33.51 but then you have to pay shipping.

Kenny, I edited Robert's post to say 12" Brinly share, and edited my quotes of him also.  I can see where it could confuse.

Yep, I was all ready to buy one at that price! Thanks! I'd hate for someone to buy one and find out it wouldn't fit their plow!
