These old Kolhers seem to like running really rich.

I wouldn't say they like to run overly rich but they do tend to like being on the richer side. I was mowing with my Cub 147 the other night and I had just put the stack back on it and forgot to adjust the high side of the carb. It was starting to get dark out and you could see a constant flame about 4" out of the stack and the elbow of the pipe was cherry red. I fattened it up a little and she is good to go. I love the Kohlers, I like the way they sound and you would think with the flatheads they would all sound the same.

Yeah i know what you mean its not too bad. But this is my first garden tractor with a kohler and i also like their specific features.
