Well, 7 days and close to 1650 miles later, I'm back at the homestead, with the tractor, motorcycle, and attachments unloaded, and the trailer dropped off at the rental place.

I probably wont take any pics/vids until Sat. It's going to be in the 60s with sunshine then, which beats the heck out of 45 right now.

We pulled into Oberlin yesterday in the late afternoon, but it was too late to get the trailer unloaded, and returned. So, we over nighted in the Wal-Mart parking lot just south of town.

Left there and got to the house @10:00 and parked on the side of the road, so we could unload. I wasn't about to try backing that trailer into the driveway/yard.

I decided to offload the smaller stuff, and decided that I'd see if the HD20D would start. It was @38 deg, and those rascals are pretty notorious for not starting in the cold. Well, I hit the 'preheat toggle switch'' for about 15 secs or so, and danged if it didn't startup with not too much extra cranking! I was pretty impressed and happy, as that means that it will be a viable cold weather machine after all.

Anyway, hooked up the Brinly cart to the 20D, and used it to get all of the smaller stuff, including the mounting frame for the sprayer, off the trailer and then went in search of a couple of college kids to help with unloading the rest. Didn't take too long to find two of them, and we got the the rest off the trailer, plus got the Sweepster out of the bed of the pickup. They were happy to earn a bit of cash (what college kid isn't) and I was happy to have their help as there was no way that I would have ever gotten that stuff off loaded by myself.

The trip itself went well. As usual I did get some rain on the way out, but for the return trip it was great weather.

Cat did great and caused no problems at all. She will definitely be traveling with us on future trips with the MH.

Since it's almost a crime to post without pics, here's a screen shot of my route. I use Microsoft Streets & Trips for trip planning, and it doubles as my GPS as well. Right after this...I think I'll go take a nap :D :D :D

Dang....y'll are an impatient lot :D :D :D

If the 'weather guesser' is right, it will get up to 56 tomorrow.

That MIGHT be warm enough...besides, the Brinly Planter is still in pieces in the basement of the MH, and I need to put that rascal together before I take pics...right?
