I had a chance to flip through " Welding for Dummies" , I didnt pick up much. I am not that good of a welder. It was more of a "Sh!t and Shine-ola" for me. Kinda reminds me of the " How to play guitar in 6 easy steps" kinda thing. How to play is the easy part, what to play takes a little more know how.

Welding, when I was in the service the gov. sent me to tech. school to learn welding. After a few years of actually doing it I got real good at it and really enjoyed it.
It has been years since I have done any and so many new products for the welder to use.

Over 300 pages of good information but nothing beats the practice-practice-practice. Make sure your metal is clean, work in a comfortable position if possible, use the proper filler rod. and take your time. Again practice-practice-practice.

I have 4 Mastercraft mig welders (not working of course, Crappy Tire). Anyone know for a welder repair manual before I start reading "Welding for Dummies" ;-)
