I was looking for the belt gaurd for my snowblower and I saw a few things... first, my god... what happened to the Massey Market!!?? e-bay is NUTS on prices now a days.

A first, I saw this post and thought the guy was insane, then I looked closer to what he had!

Sure, the main photo is of a trashed 12-hydro with a snow blower, but looking I notice he had a very clean 10... but not just any 10... why it's a first year 1966 with alloy dash and nose cone! What's more, it comes as a package deal with the 10 & 12, the snow blower, a roto-tiller, sleeve hitch, snow plow, and mower deck! Granted, the $1200.00 price tag is steep... but given such a clean 1966!

Then this guy... I mean, $400.00 and you can't even dig it out of the scrap pile!

I mean... for $1400.00 ($1600.00 BIN) at least this one clean!

Everyone thinks their goodies are worth a fortune, and when we are looking to buy something, we tend to want a "really good deal".

I see a lot of stuff on Ebay that is WAY over priced for what is in the picture.

I sure hope he is extra careful on the third sale. The question sounds like a scam to me.

Here is what is probably the most over-priced GT in history:
http://www.ebay.com/...=item27c1ec4cdf

It's been a running joke in the Bolens community for a couple of years now.

What makes it even worse is the guy listing it is a dealer who should know better.

It's always worth what somebody will pay for it. I don't know about ebay, but I know craigslist adds usually start high. Many sellers have figured out that everybody always wants to dicker and feel like they argued the price down, so they start really high and see what happens. I watched a Massey 8 hydro for several weeks locally for 500, finally called the guy and he had just sold it for 300: barely half his asking price.

I agree with you on this one, with the 66' MF10. I pointed that out back in June (I think) when it first got listed. If it wasn't that far
away, I'd make him an offer on that 10, as he's willing to split the package up.
