The GT18 has this type of fuel pump. Is there anywhere to find a kit for it? I may not be looking in the right place.
It is a Walbro pump, Model 3028, with 0595 stamped below that.

You could check on searspartsdirect.com. Look under the model number for the tractor.
I have a few from Craftsman II's but have never had to rebuild them. Rebuild kit is probably in the $15-20 range.

One option would be this: http://www.ecrater.c...fuel-pump?gps=1
Pretty cheap, no rebuild time but you may need to drill a hole or two to mount it.

Kenny, did you take it apart yet ? Those can sometimes be revived with a good thou rough soaking in mmm or WD 40. All it needs is the diaphram and pedals softened up usually.

Sears parts doesn't show a kit for these. Only the pumps that are on the carb, which this is not. I'll do some research l;ater on these other leads. Thanks guys!

Good luck! I never found parts for carb mounted kind, looks same. Did find a Kit for $39, but wasn't too good and I passed on it. Sears , no help anymore. Was told no one had parts/kits now. I have NOT seen those leads presented tho and probly worth a look. I ended up putting on a generic one from my local shop and just had to mount it somewhere else, run lines. It was all plastic of course and about $20. Common as these are/were, not sure why you can't find kits anymore??

I checked one I had, Mod #3028. Kit is no longer available.
This is the wally recommended replacement, kind pricey. http://www.milfordpo...t-p/520-159.htm

The problem with most of the replacement is, yours is probably firewall mounted with 2 hoses on the front and 1 on the back and the replacements have the hoses coming out the sides.

The gaskets have the offset holes correct. I didn't want to take one apart if I couldn't find gaskets for it. Now it's waiting till they arrive! Thank You!

this thread should be a sticky. I will need a kit 2 or 3 years from now and wont be able to find the number I wrote down.( if they still sell them 2 or 3 years from now)

EDIT: i checked other prices.... Holy Hell ... $40, that is one hell of a deal. New pumps are half the price, they may not fit, but I can bend some hoses for $20

Once the parts arrive, we'll do something to keep the info secure, rat88! Maybe I can do a .pdf and show pics of the rebuild. Include the parts #'s and info. I think putting in the Manuals/Engines section? Any other ideas?

I got the rebuild kits today. But it may be near the weekend before I can do much with them.

Chances of rain this weekend, so I may be able to get to the pump and do a write up for this. Stay tuned!
