I'll have a ton of bolts left, as many will be replaced with stainless hardware.  And with lots of other parts in inventory, I have extras laying about too.  But I won't tear her down a second time....I do it right the first time....most of the time.   :bigrofl:

So all but 2 parts are under primer, as I did find some not even blasted yet, so back to the blaster when I get to it.  But the rest of the parts are in my cabinets I bought a while back.  Sure glad I got these cabinets, otherwise I'd not have had a safe, clean place to store them.

I "may" shoot some red parts next week as it's supposed to hit the 50's mid-week, so I won't have to use as much heat during dry time.

Ready to wet sand all the remaining "to be red" parts.  Actually, by the time I posted this pic, all the parts are now sand prepped & drying.  "IF" tomorrow I wake up feeling like it, I will be shooting red paint a good part of the day.

Still have the white parts to paint yet.  I figure sometime in late January or early February the assembly will start.  That is unless I get into something else before then.  I have some mechanical repairs needing done to other tractors, so the painted parts may have to stay in the cabinets a while.

This project is really coming together nicely Daniel! ...So when you say the end of January, you mean next week...right? LOL. You move a lot faster than I do that's for sure! Great work!

This time I think my predictions will hold.  This coming week is booked.  Concrete to pour at the top end of one silage pit, vet check, and lots more.  I'll squeeze some Bush Hog time in, but likely not much.  I would like to paint all the white next week, and if I get the red shot tomorrow, then the white parts should be no problem, as there are just a few parts to be shot white.

I knew my compressor air tank would have water in it, so I checked.  Drain cock was toast, so drained the air pressure, then removed the drain valve.  Must have been 5 gallons water in there!  Now drained & a new brass ball valve installed instead of the old problematic radiator style valve.  Will be a snap to drain now, so it will get done often.  I will add a piece of hose to this valve, then take it through the wall to the outside.  Then I can just open the valve & blow the water out in a snap.

All my parts are hanging or under the sheet on a piece of plywood awaiting paint.

Sounds like you have a good plan, Daniel. I hope it goes well on getting the paint on. It's gonna be nice seeing this go together!

More red paint is being shot today.  I have the bottom side 1st coat on.  Will give a 2nd coat, let cure an hour or so, then flip all the parts for the most important "top side".   Pics later unless things go bad....then I'll be crying in a corner!  :(   Painting is nerve wracking!!!!!

So far, so good.  At least one more coat to lay down.  No way is this my best paint job, but it's gonna be decent.    I didn't sand every single primer flaw down, as I just don't have the time to get too nit-picky with it.

Here it is prior to the final coat.

The RED is looking good Daniel, I am waiting patently for this to be videoed as you come out of the shop smiling. Everything is looking great. Glad you can find the time to work on it.

I've sure noticed since EPA stuck their nose into paints, they just don't cover nearly as well as they used to.  Same with everything they touch..... they just whimp everything out.  Now how is it helping if you have to use twice as much of something that's 50% less harmful??? :mad2:
