The hubs are almost always yellow, but I painted them red so they will contrast with the yellow rims. Plus was much easier to just go ahead & paint red since they are mounted. I will paint the lug nuts/bolts red also when the time comes.

Okay then, just put a green bow on it.

It will be deep into next year before this tractor is finished, but when I do finish it, I'll find a big green bow. Then I can enter it in next year's Christmas contest.

There you go! That's the spirit! Heck, you could have taken a green part off the JD and lain it up there with the red stuff and I wouldn't know the difference!

Ok Kenny, and all the "Green Guys"....in the spirit of Christmas, I will add a GREEN part to my V4-6. I was putting new fuel line onto my engine, and the line clamps that came with a bag of fuel filters I purchased came with green clamps. I started to paint them black, but then remembered the "green part" comments, so I left em green! :D

Teresa has been sick with the flu, so the last 2 days have mostly been farm chores & domestic duties, & taking care of her. She's feeling much better today, so tomorrow I'll likely shoot some primer, then some more RED paint!

There will be 2 more days painting red, counting tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll just be painting smaller parts. The next day of red painting will be just the footboards, hood, fenders, and grill. Then there will be the white parts to prime & paint, but I still have to blast & prep all those "to be white" parts first. She will likely end up finished way sooner than I 1st figured, but then it's not over till it's over.

Way to go, Daniel! I knew you would find a way to get some green in there! Quite festive to me.

That sure is looking beautiful Daniel. Are you using that top secret wet look hardener, mixed
into the paint? Judging by the starlight twinkles in the pics, you must be. I'm flattered, that my
progress on the Elf has inspired you, but I want to say, that without your help and input, I
wouldn't be nearly as far as I am with my project. What'd we rack up, about a hundred pm's
figuring that drive train out?

Good to see you making this much progress, and looking forward to seeing the next update.

Oh, BTW, I screwed up the paint on the Elf hood, 2 days ago. (last piece) I've got a nice big run on the
one side.
