It is -20 here in western Wisconsin this morning. It's a good morning to sit at the computer with a cup of coffee and just look outside!

It's been dipping down to about -33 C at night here, daytime highs in the low -20's. Friday my truck wouldn't start. I took the battery out and brought it in the house to warm it up and charge it. Saturday I put it back in. Of course with the GM/Chevy side post set-up, you have to work without gloves. I'm hoping that it's just too much short-haul driving combined with the cold weather, but I'm guessing that I'll be needing a battery in the not-too-distant future.

It's supposed to start warming up now though. High today of -7 C, they say.

Supposed to drop to about -20F tonight, cold enough that there will be frozen pipes in some of the older homes by tomorrow morning and a few who will be late to work tomorrow because the car/truck won't start. I don't always wake up to reload the wood stove, but tonight I will set the alarm to make sure I get up. Can't afford to have it go out on us when it is this cold.
