When I get the GTV apart I'll look at the tag. It's about the same shape and only one speed. Whats the shift pattern ?

Well, so much for the hood stripes. I shot it with the clear the I had been using over these colors separately. Worked great there. Didn't here. Made a great paint stripper, wrinkled both paints. So i just scrapped it all off. I'll go get some aircraft stripper and finish the job. Guess it's time to break out the guns for this job.

And it looked so good. Bad part is, the paints all contain the same stuff. Usually isn't a problem. Here goes $200 for paint!

It'll get there again! I only put the clear on one side, so I have the other to play with and see what works.

Sorry to hear that Kenny, nothing worse than watching your efforts dissolve or wrinkle in front of your eyes.

Good luck on the repaint.

What gets me is that I tested the clear on the colors before trying to do the hood. No problem. In fact, I did the clear on the lower piece below the grille and it did fine there. Got some other options working, but work is getting in the way again!

Still trying to figure out it's origins. Looks very close to the Peerless 1200, but the shift pattern is different and they are not a hi/lo trans.
I got some more parts painted yesterday. I'll have pics later on today!

I believe they are made by Peerless, however I do not know the exact numbers. I have a spare trans in my garage with a tag on it which I can check and get a pic of tomorrow.
