I had an offer on the firebird today, the kid offered me a 60's bolen's rider with an 11hp pull start motor and $500 cash. From the pic it looks to be a 600 or 800 series tube frame but not sure, i know the colors aren't factory.

So, you figure the Firebird is worth, what, $750? Can we see the picture?

Heck if you aint gonna finish the car anyway ya might as well. You'll have a new addition to the herd and an xtra few bucks to put into it or another project. Sounds like a good deal to me. :dancingbanana:

..And owner says it's a runner? maybe they know exactly what it is/was. 99.6% sure colors aren't stock. pic looks like the paint job is ongoing in a massey puller/ racer theme? I'd at least wanna see it, run it in person before makin a deal. Hopefully one of the Bolens gurus will jump in.

I'm not sure I'd do that trade, but then it's not my trade to make anyway. If you are losing at selling the car at $1,000, then this trade would be losing even more.

Not my intent to irritate any Bolens fans and I'm not sure what the year the Firebird is nor what it looks like, but it would have to be really bad to only be worth $750.00 around here..and the 1050 Bolens are still pretty available..just thinking out loud...I'm going for coffee now...you have to do what is best for you...
Good Luck, either way !
