That LT should last a long time as they are well built. Free is good for a running tractor anytime.

I just got it out of my truck, hopefully I can get a little seat time in the morning before I am off to do the business of the day. I blew out the air cleaner and richened it up just a bit and she spins like a top. My daughter was bummin around while I stitched up the tractor, and she got her first ride. She's already claimed it as hers...

I'll see what I can do about getting a good picture of that stripe for you. Oh yea, where can I find one of those snazzy pipe frame bumpers? Can you still buy them from Sears to fit a tractor this old?

Wow, that was a bit of good luck for you. Great price too. lol. You daughter looks pretty happy on the seat there. Let us know how much better you like riding than pushing.

The pipe frame bumpers have not changed much as far as mounting them for the last 30 years lol. you can buy them new or on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/...0&_from=R40

I however would recommend you build your own though. And when you get one and replace it with your own bumper, keep the old bumper, cause it will fit the second one of these you get later lol. I am learning the hard way ( :P Alan haha).

Nice looking tractor and operator. That stripe may be fun to clone!

With a little bit of time consuming masking, you should be able to copy that stripe with no problem. That is,assuming you were going to paint it on.

That's the plan, Maynard. But i'm doing the Orange first, then taping it off for the silver.

I just knocked out the last mow of the year, and wow, what a treat. It really couldn't care less what it's cutting or how deep it is. It's the best my lawn has ever looked, even if it is spattered with leaf mulch. Next stop, restoration-land over the winter.

Those big 18Hp engines don't care much what you throw at them. Glad you got to use it.

I've been bored the last week... I ordered some vinyl from a guy on ebay and got busy with the rattle cans. I need to drop the deck to patch a couple holes and get it painted, but I'm not in too much of a rush. I do need to get that kiddie pool gone before winter though... ugh...
