They're still making new girlfriends everyday. They're not making old tractors.

Mrs. Rev was cool to the idea of a garden tractor, with loader, until I had her shovel a couple yards of topsoil when my leg was broken. Suddenly she was searching Kijiji with me. She actually pointed out the ad for my dump truck...I would have missed it.

Women are practical creatures. Let them see the benefit to something and they'll support it.

Well, first of all, she's your girlfriend, not your wife so why would you have to clear it with her to get another tractor? Heck I don't even clear it with my wife unless I need some money to complete the deal. My hobby has become mostly self sufficient.

Second, 19? Your 19 so I assume she is somewhere in that area as well? Dude, she has other things on her mind!

Of course, I stay current on the SET** which helps as well.

** SET – Spousal Equity Tax. If you’re lucky, it only amounts to 100 percent of the cost of whatever it was you bought without SWMBO’s blessing.

Oops! I wish I would have read that bold part before I got my last tractor... I got my Meteor and she got her new back patio.

Ok, I asked the wife about this topic, and it all comes down to this. She wouldn't mind me buying garden tractors if the following was met:

1. I had enough room to store all of them, and they wouldn't be seen by the neighbors.

That's the biggie for my wife. I don't think she would care about whatever I wanted to collect as long as everything is organized in the shed and garage and not underfoot or sitting outside. That's why I'm at my absolute limit right now.
Her other pet peeve (and mine also) is that whenever the main mowing machine has something break and is temporarily out of commission, it seems that the only backup mower will have something break at the same time. Then I get the lecture about having all these tractors and none of them work.

Yep Canwler,,, just got that talk tonight, Mr's M came home , and just when she was pulling into the driveway, I was hoggin' through a pile of leaves on her machine , and the belt started smokin'.... Oh boy, here it comes.... I thought.

She said "Well, as long as ya fix it back up, and git yer scary mower back up and runnin'," all is well. :dancingbanana:

I COMPLETELY agree with this comment !

If you 'girlfriend' has issues with your tractors now, what do you think would happen IF she ever became your wife ? :mad2:
