a few years back I had an unstyled hand start John Deere B. I forgot to turn the gas off and it filled the cylinders full of fuel. My son in law and I decided to pull the spark plugs and crank her over to rid the gas from the cylinders. About the second time we pulled on the flywheel the mag clicked, the plugs fired and instant fireworks! we nearly lost the B, 4 lungs and learned a great lesson. We always turned off the fuel each time we shut her down.:mad2:

Sparks and gas are not a good combo! Glad you weren't hurt.
