Glad they released you Mike. My older sister got admitted just yesterday with pneumonia too! She already has MS, so this is a lot for her to be going through. Rest up Mike...really, get some rest!

I had pneumonia as an adult and it's nasty. I hope neither of us go through that again. Good to hear your feeling better. Take your time and take care.

Hello everyone. As the title says I just have been released from the hospital and it feels great to be home. Don't realize how boring or weird it feels to be away from all your toys. Hopefully I haven't missed too much. I had pneumonia or however its spelled and I have asthma that goes along with it so it was even worse! Hope all is well with the community.

Wow, I contracted Pneumonia 2 years ago, mis diagnosed and after 2 days of taking meds for 'allergies'...I went to the ER, they gave me a dose of Levaquin via IV. Then when I was supposed to be good to go...I collapsed on the floor of the hospital and was admitted for 3 days of IV treatments of levaquin...that is some bad ass stuff. Thought I was gonna die...Pneumonia is nothing to scoff about...

Good Luck with the recovery!!It will take some time...

Sorry that it took me so long to see this thread Mike. I hope that the recovery is going well and you're feeling better. Pneumonia is certainly not something to be taken lightly. My oldest daughter had it as a very young child and now has to be careful. She's had it twice since then though not as bad. She's a very active young lady (teaches cardio classes) and has seen an improvement in overall health, as well as better breathing as a result.

My 2nd oldest daughter had it at 9mths old, then again at 9yrs old. I was worried when she turned 19, as the number 9 seemed a common theme. She is now 28 and a certified Emergency Room RN. Maybe her spending time in the hospital while young spurred her into the medical field.

Congrats on being home. Enjoy the rest. When heath was born I was exhausted from the constant barrage of nurses coming in and out until I finally put a stop to it. He was my 4th child, I kinda had a good idea what to do with him. The constant interruptions weren't doing my wife any good either.
