Great scott is that a deal!!!!!!!!!!! And Kenny told me he bought it in honor of my Birthday too! :dancingbanana: Seriously a killer deal! It's almost as good as my JD212 (or was it a 214) that I got for $50 delivered to me with new 26x12x12 ags. Deals like this are awesome!
In the CL: listing it showed what looked like a rear manual lift arm??????????

if this is like my Ford and Sears the rear wheels on the Ford are wider, I had to make some tire/wheel chamges to get the right size on the right tractor. I had bought 4 tires and wheels from a Sears, but the wheels where to narrow, I had swapped wheels and tires before and did not realize the difference. Now have the wder wheels on the Ford snd the narrower wheels on the Sears. Both have 23/10/50/12 s the front spindles are longer on the Ford and take a wider wheel. That was a great buy you made.

He wanted to keep that. He is rebuilding the engine on a Case 448. I gave him a GTTalk card, maybe we'll see him.
You brought me luck, Daniel!

When I swap the tires, they will go on the Ford wheels. I will have to drill one wheel for a new valve stem inside, due to the weights. I have already done the other and tubed that tire (on the Ford).

Has anyone been inside the B&S 18 HP? I'll need to pull it soon and find out the extent of the damage.

You got that right, Grand. I had about given up on getting AG's for the Ford. And a tractor to boot. Now I have more to keep me busy.
Thank you everyone for the comments. It's been an awesome weekend!

Kenny, my GT18 is a 1988 model as well, so awesome deal. As for the Briggs Twin, I have had the thing all but open, so take pics as you go. I will be yanking another GT18 out of the scrap yard tomorrow as previously mentioned. If it's motor has any major issue I will be opening it someday. Good luck on what you do with it Kenny, I might be able to get you the gears that aren't broken if my transaxle I am getting is broken. We will see.

That will be another thread on the tranny. I've never been into one of them either. It does have some nearly 'Cat' yellow on the front. LOL I do have the other 6-speed, so I could just change them out.
I haven't a clue what I will do as yet, Casey. I just know the AG's are going on the Ford!
On the engine note, the other Craftsman II I have must be a 16 HP. It is no where near as massive as this one!

The 18 horse briggs twin is a good stout motor setup. I hope yours is rebuildable without too much trouble.

Great find Kenny, wish I woud have seen that, I would have made a trip to OK. I have a fully rebuilt, bored 0.002 over engine for that. It is the exact same as my 1988 Hulk II.
