Hey guys'

I have a 1994 Ford LS45 which is a Toro 267H.

The problem I got is the steering gear below the battery is stripped in the middle of the gear. How hard is it to replace this.

It looks like it will be a huge pain in the but to remove.I am just wondering if anyone has done the fix or do you know where I can find a thread or video so i can see where to start.

Thanks in advance for your time.

You can download a service manual from Toro
https://lookup3.toro...est/request.cfm
Use 72085 for a model number and use 7912345 for a serial number.

You may find parts lists here but 1994 doesn't fit - 1996-1998 only
https://lookup3.toro...fm?xCaller=Toro
Type in 267-H so they all come up.
After a page opens you can click on a small printer icon at the top left of the illustration.

There are 3 pages on the steering but "Lower Steering" shows both gears.

Garry,
Thanks one more time,I have some of these manuals downloaded already in a binder.

Has anyone had their steering shaft out of their mower?
