We got out and slaughtered a couple of chickens then cleaned up the yard and the shop and got a load of scrap metal rounded up to carry off to the scrap yard. Good day.

Me too. I went over to my wife's aunt's house and cleared the leaves and branches off her driveway. She's 94, and spry as can be.

Nice day here too. Got parts ordered for our Cat 910 loader's engine, got some electric fence repaired, then mowed the farmyard areas & roadsides. Windy as heck right now, so mowing sent the stuff all over me & down my shirt, but still a nice day. Time to feed the cows now.
No chickens to slaughter here. When I was a kid, we raised 5,000 fryers at a time in our chicken barn. I remember Mom chopping a chicken's head off for supper. Sometimes they'd get away & run around a bit with no head!

Beautiful day here as well. Got the shop pretty much back together, but still need to sort through some boxes with odd and end's and straighten some selves.

Sitting out in the shop enjoying a cigar and a glass of Makers Mark. A huge hornet flew in and went for my glass. I took a bug puff off the cigar and blew it at him. He couldn't leave fast enough.

It was 55 and sunny here. I helped my neighbor take out his dock and pick up a few heavy items. I went fishing the rest of the afternoon. Didn't catch a darn thing, not even a bite, but the view was all worth it.

The vodka is in the freezer and after a nice dinner, a frozen vodka martini.

Yes, it was a beautiful day outside.

Two 100% perfect early Autumn days in a row! Stepped off the porch this AM and took several deep lungfillers laced with the aroma of leaves both burning and nonburning. Somebody was up early doing yard cleanup! Bagged 8 3.5 bu. PowerFlow bags of pine needles in the front yard yesterday and ground up the latest 2 day accumulation of maple/oak leaves today. Amazing what you'll find with a leaf blower behind my shop! Slow fire in the stove and a good book for tonight (not THE "Good Book", but good none the less:D). "Whereas", tomorrow our lawyer attempts to translate the contract on the new place in terms that even I can understand!!!

I hate it when my supper runs away!

It's seems to be jumping around a lot here (typical Mo Fall weather) near 80 a couple of days ago, under 50 predicted today & tomorrow! Finally getting a little rain, we still need over a foot to catch up. ~~ Lowell

Rained all day yesterday and it'll rain all day again today. Not good days to be driving a flatbed...muddy straps, forklifts getting stuck, traffic tie-ups...but we need the moisture.

Rained here in Ky during the night, but passed just before milking time. Another beautiful day in Ky!
