Speedex Engines

Anyone know if Speedex only used Briggs engines, I came arcoss one with a Wisconsin. Did not recall using that engine

They did use Briggs, the only variant was the S18 which manufactured in the 60's had an 8hp Kohler. That I know of...

the S23 came with either a 9hp briggs or kohler and the same with the S24 and the 10 hp , the one belt book on another site shows a briggs or kohler 7/8hp engine on the S17 so i am sure there are different corp engines but i haven't seen any wiscon's on speedex's to date or seen any manuals that show them as an option, but i am not all knowing and seeing so there could be some out there
