thanks, they need some work but it gives me something to do. i got the belt for the tiller this past weekend and got to play with it a little bit.

chopperfreak, If the model # is still visible I can get the year for your 900. Its either a 1964 or 1965

hey thanks man, i'll check for the #. about where can i find it? and i'll tell you now if you like Bolens you don't wanna see the 900. over this past winter my dad boogered up the hood and steering wheel plowing snow with his backhoe. it was an accident and he felt bad when we found it this spring, but i think both parts are shot unfortunately. will be getting pix up of my whole fleet this week sometime.

The ID plate should be located just the right of the shifting lever. (when your sitting in the seat)

With patience, and some body hammers, ANY piece can be salvaged. I had an original Bush Hog headlamp case that was mashed flat. Started prying the folded metal on the vise, then hammered away & ended up with a good piece.

I did the same on a John Deere 40 head light bucket,it was bashed in real good on one side.I took the body hammer and dolly to it,then I took the file to it.I had to alternate between the hammering and filing a few times,probably took a couple of hours or more but I got it perfect without any fill or putty.

i have a Deere X500 and an older Craftsmas Gt 6000 according to the model numbers but the sticker just says craftsman. then my poor pitiful little L130 that thinks it is a gt.
