The 110 will take up a temp residence Friday outside Atkins and the host has all the tools to go forward with the project. Lyall I am without computer internet but hope to get a list to you later today via smartphone.

The 110 is safely in Iowa and the supplier of storage greatly appreciates my work on the 120.  He is willing to let me use his shop until I find a house.  I hope to take an inventory of the tractor and see what I have and am missing.  The 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 HO engine handled the 1000 lbs of tractor and trailer without a hitch.

Lyall has a few pieces for the 110 that I hope to pick up this Friday.  Talked to the Mrs and she knows I need to "play" time so I got the go for a roadtrip as long as no church crises happen.  Slow progress is better than NO progress.

Trav1s stopped here today and got most the the parts he needed

show him around my place and the garden tractors too

the 110 with the FEL

the 214, 212 with cab - yes the snowblower is on it (did not take the cab or snowblower off this year)

the 112 that I have been working - need to get a loaner or buy a good hood so that I can make a plaster cast of it so I can fix the 3 hood I have

showed Trav1s the rear lift I made with the lift rod - he like it, very simple to make and it works great

I posted pictures of it a while back on the forum

showed he a few trick I did to fix things and that I have made

we had a good time together - it would be nice if he was closer - 70 miles I guess is not to bad

Trav!s:

I grew up on a farm 5 miles north of State Center, and still have numerous relatives and old high school classmates around there. I met up with lyall last summer and saw the tractors he had then. I delivered a part he was selling to a guy to his brother in Stewartville, just down the road from Rochester.

All of the parts have been united with the 110 until I get to it which will probably not be until after Christmas.  Between not having a garage, a new church, and a 15 minute drive to the shop I am outta luck.   :(

Here it sits.  It seems the extra transaxle weights less than the k181 I picked up.  Whodathunkit!

Got a few parts from Lyall installed. It does not look as sad. I am surprised the steering gearbox is free and turns easy.  It is now a roller so I can easily get it off of the trailer.

Additional work this afternoon included removing the mower deck (which seems to be pretty solid) and messing around the k181 in the tractor.  I pulled the head and there is minimal carbon, the head gasket looks relatively news, and the found piston is free, valves move and little to no ridge in cylinder wall!!  I really want to try to start it but the wiring harness is a MESS.  I will order a new ignition switch/wiring harness and rebuild the carb before I try to fire it up.

glad you got some time with the JD

that motor does not look to bad

thanks for the pictures

I have a wiring harness if you need it - I can ship it to you if you want

when work on a wiring harness

first thing is when you are at your dentist, ask him for couple of his old dentist's tools

the picks are great to use on removing the wires from the holders

I like the flat spade one the best - removes the wires the easier over the picks

that deck likes good - can't see any holes and any welding on it

how are the bearing?
